It's a bird day! Dogs and cats make great pets, that's true, as do mice and rats, but let's not forget that parrots (and other birds) can make wonderful, affectionate and loving companions too. Some birds, especially sun conures, can get really attached to their people as well and can even be trained to do tricks! Though they're also insanely loud, but, well, birds will be birds.

By the way, that last video is absolutely worth watching if only to hear the phrase 'shagged by a rare parrot' being used in an absolute seriousness.

Here's a mimicking spider! I love these little guys, they're fun.

This one in particular is... not a snail or a small piece of poop, even though it's trying it's damndest to look like the bastard offspring of them both. Its name is cyrtarachne inaequalis, and it's really very tiny, clocking in at only about 5 to 8 millimeters long, at best. They're also really hard to spot- mostly because chances are if you walk past one, it'd look far more like a tiny juvenile snail baby than it would like a spider. These little guys are most easily spotted in Asia, particularly China and Japan, though they do also live around India.
