Hello! Today we're featuring another bird. Instead of variety, we're going for the same type of bird at different stages in its life, progressing backwards. This animal is one of the most widely found bird species, and they can survive in a variety of different places. It's also capable of reaching over 200mph and holds the record of being the fastest animal in the world- that's the Peregrine Falcon for you.

How it gets itself to this speed is by soaring incredibly high, then tucking its wings in and taking a sharp dive. It uses this method to hunt its prey, and if you keep an eye out for any falcons you see about, you might notice that they also tend to hunt in pairs, diving repeatedly at whatever prey they're after until it's caught.

BONUS: Video links! One, two and three, all featuring very noisy very squaky babies.

And, as usual...

Spiders:

source

While this species- Araneus mitificus- is commonly known as the Kidney Garden Spider, I prefer to think of it as the Funny Old Man Face Spider. Doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well, I know, but once you see it...

You could even link the old man face thing to how the spider seems almost forgetful- if you've ever seen an orb web that apears to have an entire section missing and with no spider in sight, chances are it's been built by one of these. Unlike most orb weavers, Kidney Spiders don't hang out in the middle of the web itself; instead they make a little web mesh floor on one of the bent over leaves that their webs attach to, then tuck themselves away there to wait for bugs. Try to look for the spider doing just that in the last picture!
