Hi! Today we go back to birds (because really, they do deserve more features). This time it's a bird that has a reputation for living in cold places... which actually doesn't do that as much as you'd think. While all penguin species are actually native to the southern hemisphere, that doesn't mean they're only native to areas around the South Pole. There are even penguins that exist which live close to the equator! It's definitely pretty hot there.

It's hard to say exactly how many different penguin species exist as well, because some of them look pretty similar. Even so, there's still a great variation in how they look and where they live. Here's a few pictures for you of them- and which one is your favourite?

BONUS:
Video links! The first one features a penguin, not going to say any more than that. But do check it out, it's fun (and don't read the comments if you haven't seen it before). The second? Well, that one's just plain awwdorable. And if you liked it, here's another in the same vein.

And of course... daily spidertime!

Here's a link that you're welcome to check out. You know how I always try to emphasize that most spiders are really, really eeny, despite looking big in photographs since there's nothing to compare them to? Her'es a small jumper that looks pretty big... right up until you realize it's chilling on someone's finger. Another one from this guy shows yet another small jumper nosing around, this time on the rim of a paper cup. These videos are definitely worth it, if only to marvel at his amazing camera. Her's some stills from them:
